OK! Four days til the end of ESYCC 09! Whew! Time FLEW!

What to do with those postcards…? If you have visited all the participating shops and have had them stamp your card, fill out the back with your info and mail it into VRF (you can put it in an envelope if you want). They should be to me by the 31st of October…PLENTY of time!!! I will draw the winner and post it here (as well as call them). So get those in!!

Yarn Crawlers come out in September!!

Bright and early this morning, looked what walked in Vulcan Rest Fibers’ front door!!

It was a great visit and they left with lots of yarn!!

FIBRE CAFE

Fibre Café specializes in natural fiber, hand-dyed yarns. Some of the yarns we carry are Tilli Tomas, Art Yarns, Kollage, Blue Heron, & Skacel.  We also carry needles, hooks, buttons and bags to carry your knit/crochet projects in.  

We have also moved and expanded to include Crabcatcher’s Scavenger Shop, carrying second-hand goods & collectibles. Something for everyone! We are a fun place to shop with our unique combination of items!

We are located in historic downtown Cambridge, next to Bistro Poplar, a wonderful French restaurant. There are other great restaurants downtown too; Bella Luna around the corner on High Street and Jimmie & Sooks on Race Street. There are beautiful galleries and interesting shops for you to browse in while visiting Fibre Café for the yarn crawl!

SEA NEEDLES

For twenty years, SEA NEEDLES in Bethany Beach Delaware has become the choice needlework and framing store for many locals and visitors from all over the country. SEA NEEDLES has an extensive array of yarns from manmade fibers and natural fibers, ranging from baby to ultra chunky yarn. Our selection of sock yarn is extraordinary. Customers’  favorite needlepoint canvases are our Christmas stockings, cell phone covers, and eye glass cases. We also have preworked needlepoint canvases, handpainted canvases and kits. A large choice of Persian yarns, floss, fibers and metallics is available for needlepoint. To complete their project, customers use our award winning framing department that specializes in any type of frame from shadow boxes to traditional frames to showcase your project.  We provide a finishing service for needlepoint, belts, pillows, purses, etc.

KITSCHY STITCH

Kitschy Stitch is a newly opened yarn and fabric shop in Rehoboth Beach, DE.  The shop is in an old house right off of Rehoboth Ave, and a few doors down from a Starbucks.  There’s a welcoming feel to the store, with plenty of windows, light, and places to sit.  A wide selection of knitting books are available, as well as a smaller section for crochet, for felting, for sewing, and some other miscellaneous .  Yarns of a wide variety are available in an array of colors.  Cascade, Classic Elite, Araucania, Katia, Debbie Bliss, and Elsebeth Lavold are just some of the yarns available here.  The store is kept to a very minimum of clutter so that everything is easier to see, feel, and play with.  In the fabric area, there are some beautiful bright prints in cotton, some denim, some linen, and even some bamboo.  Every Thursday is our Sit and Stitch night – bring your knitting, crochet, hand sewing, embroidery, or whatever else you can fit in your lap and join us from 5 to 7.
